1.     We found Christopher’s website when we were searching for Cedar Rapids Real Estate. We went right to the buyer’s section and were impressed with the amount of education that it provided. Plus, there was a free search for homes section on his site also. Christopher contacted us with the phone number we provided, and we ended up meeting in his office. Since this was our first home, we had no idea about how to go about applying for a mortgage, buying a house, etc… Christopher took the time to explain the entire procedure from start to finish, so that we understood the process. Once we were pre-approved for a loan through our lender, we went “shopping” for our first home. I think we went through seven or eight homes before we finally found the perfect one for us. Christopher handled all of the negotiations, the inspections, and everything. In about 30 days, we were moving into our first home and very excited. We can’t thank Christopher enough for all of his hard work and dedication to finding us the perfect home! Thanks again Christopher! Carly & Jesse

2.    We transferred to Cedar Rapids from the Twin Cities and so we didn’t really know who to turn to in order to help us find a home. We did a search on Google for “Cedar Rapids Real Estate” and found Chris’ website on the first page. We checked out his buyer’s section right away and calculators. We also downloaded a few of his buyer checklists as well. When we registered to search for homes on his website, we received a phone call that same day. We explained our situation and when we needed to be in a home in Cedar Rapids. Chris immediately went to work for us and sent us homes from the MLS. While we were looking at homes, he also put us in contact with a local lender in town who assisted us with our mortgage loan. We found a house relatively quick because a new house had just been listed and we were among the first to tour this house on the weekend that we came down. We wrote an offer on that Monday after a weekend of shopping for homes and got an accepted offer. Christopher was great to work for and we appreciate his hard work and dedication to his job as a Realtor. We will recommend his services to our friends and co-workers. Thanks a lot Chris!   Jennifer & Derrick

3.    My husband and I had been looking at homes for quite some time before we contacted Christopher Smith of Traditions Real Estate. In fact, he was sending us weekly emails about how to buy a home for about two months before we got in touch with him. When we were ready we gave Christopher a call and told him specifically what we were looking for in a home and our price range. Within a half hour, Christopher had sent us a list of homes from the MLS that we could take a look at. He instructed us to make a list of the homes we really liked, and then to drive by them to see if we would like the neighborhood. Then we made a “short list” and contacted him to go view these houses. We wrote an offer on the fifth house we saw. After we negotiated back and forth a few times, we had an accepted offer from the sellers. We were so excited! We closed on the house in June and I had the rest of the summer to get the house ready before going back to work (I’m a school teacher). Christopher, thanks for going above and beyond for us and getting us into our home. You are the best, and we will be recommending you to everyone who needs help! Thanks again!   Stephanie & Brandon

4.    A Realtor friend of ours in Arizona recommended Christopher’s services because they were friends on a real estate blog site called Active Rain. At first, our Realtor in Arizona contacted Christopher, and then Christopher contacted us. We were relocating to the Cedar Rapids area, and needed a house within a few months. Well, Christopher got right to work for us, and started sending us properties to look at. Within a few weeks, we were flying to Cedar Rapids to see homes. Christopher lined up homes for us to see on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday morning we found a home that we absolutely loved and wrote an offer. Come to find out that there was already an accepted offer on the table so we didn’t get that home.   We flew back to Arizona very discouraged because the house we wanted to buy was already gone. On Tuesday, Christopher called us to say that the financing for the buyers on that particular house had fallen through and that if we still wanted to write an offer, that we could. We were very excited at this turn of events and of course, wrote an offer. We really want to thank Christopher because without his diligence and perseverance we would have never gotten this house, even though we had given up hope on it. Within a month and a half, we were moving into our new home and have Christopher to thank for everything. Thanks a lot buddy and let us know if you need any other letters from us. You were great!!! Sandy & Brian

5.    When my husband and I first started looking into buying a home, we wanted to do a lot of research to educate ourselves about buying a home. We went online and searched for real estate in Cedar Rapids and found Christopher’s website. First, I can tell that he is a former teacher because his website really serves to educate people on how to buy a home. I really enjoyed the videos as well. So, we contacted Christopher and the rest is history! Christopher, it was great to work with you! Sorry you had to put up with my father for so long. 6.    Christopher was actually our second Realtor that we worked with. Our first Realtor kind of ignored us and wasn’t in touch with us for a few weeks so we kind of lost interest as well, and contacted Christopher. He was kind enough to sit down with us and explain how to go about buying a house (because this was our first). Christopher told us what we needed to do first and so we applied for and got our loan pre-approval certificate. Then we started looking at homes. We wanted to live within a certain school boundary because our son was going to be in 1^st grade next year and we wanted to get him off to a good start. Christopher worked with us and found us several homes to choose from in that area. Within, I would say, three weeks, we ended up finding a home that we both liked, and so we wrote an offer on that house. Christopher called us the next day to say that we had our offer accepted! We were very excited to be in our first home and have Christopher to thank for all of his work with us and the home owners. Thanks for everything Christopher! Aubrey & Nick

7.    We had a unique situation in that my wife and I had to purchase a home without me being there. I was unable to get away from my job duties and so I entrusted my wife to find the perfect house for us in Cedar Rapids. After a little bit of preparation, my wife flew down to meet with Christopher and went to look at a few homes. The first day, she had no luck finding anything she liked, and so she was hoping that Sunday would be a better day. On Sunday, she called me saying that she found the most beautiful home! I was so excited but also wanted to see the house myself. Christopher happened to have his video camera with him and was able to shoot a video of the home and surrounding area. He sent me the video that Sunday night, and we were ready to write an offer to purchase this home. Someone like Christopher who shoots a video and sends it right away is not your typical sales person. This guy knew that I couldn’t be there with my wife and so he brought his video camera in anticipation that she would find our perfect home. Way to go Christopher! Thanks for everything, and especially the tickets to the Kernels game! Denis & Kimberly
